MPD Seeks Two Female Suspects in Southeast DC Burglary and Assault; $1,000 Reward Offered

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) is actively searching for two unidentified female suspects connected to a burglary and assault that occurred last Thursday evening in Southeast Washington, D.C. Authorities are urging the public to assist with any information that could lead to their identification and arrest.

Incident Details

According to MPD, the incident took place around 7:30 p.m. on the block of Central Avenue SE, where officers from the Sixth District responded to a report of an ongoing disturbance.

Upon arrival, officers discovered that two female suspects had forcibly entered a private residence. Once inside, the suspects allegedly attacked the homeowner during what authorities believe was a targeted burglary attempt.

The homeowner, acting in self-defense, reportedly used a knife to fend off the attackers, ultimately forcing them to flee the scene. Despite the violent confrontation, no injuries were reported…
