Langley Park, Md. (DC News Now) — With fights, threats, people doing drugs, and many more loitering, bus drivers in Maryland say they are working under dangerous conditions. As a result, lawmakers in Prince George’s and Montgomery Counties are working together to make sure drivers and people who rely on public transportation feel safe.
“There has been lots of criminal activity and loitering drug use and unsafe conditions for riders and bus drivers,” said Council Member Wanika Fisher.
Fisher is leading the effort to reduce crime at the Takoma Langley Crossroads Transit Center bus stop in Prince George’s County, located across the street from Takoma Park in Montgomery County.
