DC firetruck struck by gunfire in Northeast

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — No one was hurt after a Thursday shooting in Northeast D.C., where a firetruck was struck by gunfire, according to the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD).

Police said officers responded to reports of a shooting around 12:20 p.m. in the area of Mt. Olivet and Montello Avenue NE.

According to police, a truck belonging to the DC Fire and EMS Department was hit during the shooting.
