The father of a 12-year-old boy who was rescued from a flash flood in Bethesda last week has donated $10,000 to Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) as a token of his family’s gratitude.
Selva Jayaraman’s son was one of six people, including a 2-year-old and an adult female, rescued by MCFRS units on Thursday, July 31, at the intersection of Bradley Blvd and Mercy Hollow Ln. What began as a call for a single vehicle in distress quickly became a more dangerous situation.
