WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — Deandre Miles, 30, was sentenced last week for his involvement in the death of 28-year-old Davon Fuller in October 2023.
At the time, Fuller was a former staffer for D.C. Councilmember Brianne K. Nadeau. He worked as a constituent services coordinator in 2018 and 2020.
In a statement released shortly after the deadly shooting, Nadeau said, in part, “Davon grew up in Ward 1, was well-loved in our community, and worked incredibly hard in our office. He was a proud and caring father of two young children. His murder is a tragic loss and I sincerely hope there is justice for him.”
Miles turned himself in to the police weeks after the shooting. Earlier this year, he pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter with armed and destruction of property (felony).
