Pedestrian hit, killed on DC-295 overnight; police say car was driving at high speeds

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — A pedestrian was hit and killed over the weekend on DC-295, police said.

Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) officers responded to the northbound lanes near the Pennsylvania Avenue SE exit around 2:30 a.m. on Saturday for a crash involving a pedestrian.

Responding officers found a man who had been hit by a blue 2025 Toyota Camry. He was unconscious and not breathing. First responders attempted lifesaving measures, but the man died there…
