Three DC brothers sentenced for string of armed robberies across Maryland, Virginia

ALEXANDRIA, Va. (DC News Now) — Three brothers from D.C. were sentenced for a string of armed robberies across Maryland and Virginia, according to the United States Attorney’s Office (USAO) for the Eastern District of Virginia.

Andre Joel White Jr., 41, Abdullah Khalil Ismael DeVaugh Michelle, 43, and Aaron Isaiah Devaughn Aaron White, 29, all pleaded guilty to various firearm charges for their role in a series of robberies from September 2023 to February 2024.

The USAO states the three men robbed a convenience store, four tobacco shops, and a gas station–which they robbed twice, and tried to rob another gas station. Court documents note that during the robberies, the men brandished firearms and assaulted victims before stealing money and cigarettes.

According to court documents, in December 2023, Michelle saw a ride-share driver leave his car to help a passenger with their luggage, so he entered the vehicle and drove away. The stolen car would be used to commit robberies in Virginia before they abandoned it after the car became disabled during a robbery.
