DC leaders silent so far on POTUS plans to use federal forces to crack down on crime

WASHINGTON (7News) — Reporter’s Notebook: It’s our job to ask DC public officials what they’re doing to crack down on crime and what they think of federal forces coming into the city to help with that concern. The problem is that those public officials appear to be AWOL today, and D.C. residents we spoke with want to know why.

We ran into Shatiya Huff Friday while she was walking a couple of dogs. Huff runs a pet-sitting service. She encapsulates a perspective we’ve heard far and wide in recent days in the Nation’s Capital.
