6 people, dog displaced after fire ignites at Southeast DC row house

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — Multiple people and a dog are without a home after a fire ignited at a Southeast D.C. row house late Saturday.

In a post on the X platform just after 11 p.m., the DC Fire and EMS Department said crews were on the scene of a fire at a corner row house in the 1200 block of Alabama Ave., SE.

6 displaced after fire breaks out at Fort Washington home

Firefighters were working to extinguish the fire, which had started in the basement and extended to the first floor.

Crews quickly put the blaze under control with no injuries reported. However, four adults, two children and a dog were displaced as a result, officials noted.
