WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — A D.C. man will spend a handful of years in prison after authorities say he assaulted and strangled a fellow inmate while in a Superior Court holding cell last year.
According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office (USAO), 36-year-old Jermaine Knight admitted earlier this summer to his involvement in multiple violent incidents.

Responding officers said Knight initially said he was shot by an unknown person, but it was later determined he shot himself.
