WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — Thousands of people in Washington, D.C., are expected to lose their health insurance as Medicaid cuts take effect, potentially as early as October 1.
The cuts are a result of reductions in the D.C. budget and federal funding slashes to health care programs that support people with disabilities and those whose earnings are considered low-income.
