Juvenile curfew zone on U Street Corridor ends ahead of DCPS school year

WASHINGTON (7News) — While residents in just about any city are likely used to seeing and hearing flashing police lights and sirens, people living in D.C. have also gotten used to another sight: bright yellow signs indicating a juvenile curfew zone.

Under the Juvenile Curfew Emergency Amendment Act of 2025, the police chief can designate areas for targeted curfews in response to public safety concerns.
