WASHINGTON (7News) — A student’s backpack carrying drugs, a pistol and unregistered ammo was confiscated at Ballou High School in Washington, D.C. Friday morning, according to a police report from the Metropolitan Police Department.
An officer on patrol in Southeast, D.C., was flagged down when a gun was found going through the X-ray machine around 9:40 a.m. on campus. Officials said the suspect’s backpack was taken to the security office, where they found a 9mm gun, a clear sandwich bag with a green leaf-like substance, and THC wax.
