Second suspect arrested months after man found dead in Northeast DC apartment

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — Months after a 61-year-old man was shot and killed in Northeast, D.C., police have arrested a second suspect.

On Sept. 2, authorities arrested Randall Mack, 42, of Northeast, charging him with first-degree murder while armed in connection with the death of Steven Stewart.

Officers found Stewart suffering from gunshot wounds inside a Northeast apartment in the 600 block of 21st Street on May 2, according to D.C. police. He was unconscious and not breathing when officers found him, and was pronounced dead at the scene.
