Potomac high schooler arrested after attacking officer

PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, Va. (DC News Now) — A 17-year-old girl was arrested after allegedly attacking a school resource officer (SRO) on Tuesday, according to the Prince William County Police Department (PWPD).

Police said the SRO was notified at 7:50 a.m. of a student actively assaulting a Potomac High School staff member, and when the SRO arrived, the student tried to run away from the officer.

When arrested, the girl proceeded to kick, bite and spit on the school security staff and the SRO.

Police said the security staff and SRO sustained minor injuries from the incident…
