7News investigates what role National Guard troops are playing at Metro stations

WASHINGTON (7News) — National Guard troops have been patrolling Metro stations for several weeks and 7News looked into what exactly troops are doing and whether it’s helping.

The Army declined to say how many of the 2,200 National Guard troops working in DC were assigned to Metro stations on Wednesday. Troops were coordinating with Metro and Metro Transit Police “with regards to our presence patrols at Metro stations,” officials said.
