DC man sentenced to decade in prison for string of armed carjackings, robberies

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — A 21-year-old D.C. man was sentenced to a decade in prison Friday for playing a role in a string of armed carjackings and robberies, the U.S. Attorney’s Office (USAO) for the District of Columbia announced.

In a news release, the USAO said that Dominic Armstrong — also known as “D1” or “Domo” — pleaded guilty in April to carjacking, brandishing a firearm in furtherance of a crime of violence and interfering with interstate commerce by robbery.

After his 10-year prison term, Armstrong will have to serve an additional five years of supervised release.
