Man shot in Southeast DC, investigation underway

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) is investigating a Sunday shooting in Southeast D.C.

Police say officers responded at 3:04 p.m. to the 2600 block of Birney Pl. SE, where a man was found suffering from a gunshot wound, unconscious and not breathing.
