WASHINGTON — Crime on Metro is down sharply for the second year in a row, a new report shows, and this time, riders say they’re noticing the difference.
According to WMATA’s latest Service Excellence Report, serious crime across the Metro system fell 43% between June 2024 and June 2025. Compared to two years ago, overall crime is down about 50%.
