Second man arrested in deadly Petworth triple shooting

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — A second man was arrested Friday for his alleged involvement in the April 2025 deadly shooting in Petworth, the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) detailed.

Police said 18-year-old Jayden Wells was arrested by the Capitol Area Regional Fugitive Task Force and charged with first-degree murder while armed.

Wells’ arrest comes months after the June arrest of 18-year-old Jose Hernandez, who was also charged with first-degree murder while armed.
