WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — A 36-year-old man was charged with second-degree murder after he allegedly killed his mother inside their Southeast D.C. home, according to the United States Attorney’s Office.
Just minutes before 4 a.m. on Sept. 21, officers responded to the 2100 block of 32nd Place SE for an assault. There, police found 66-year-old Pamela Botts, who had been stabbed multiple times.
She was taken to the hospital, where she died on Sept. 23, according to D.C. police.
