Suspect Arrested in Series of Armed Robberies During Online Marketplace Exchanges in Southeast DC

The Metropolitan Police Department has arrested a suspect connected to two armed robberies in Southeast DC that occurred during online marketplace transactions. The robberies involved theft using violence while pretending to conduct a sale, according to the Metropolitan Police Department.

Two armed robberies happened in Southeast DC during prearranged sales. On August 16, on the 2300 block of Wagner Street, two suspects with guns took property and money. On September 14, on the 2300 block of 24th Street, a suspect with a knife took money from the victims. On Tuesday, 34-year-old Anthony Farmer of Southeast, DC, was arrested and charged in both cases.
