New photos released of suspect in triple shooting that killed congressional intern in DC

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — More photos have been released of the third suspect in a triple shooting that killed a congressional intern and injured two others people back in June 2025.

The final suspect was identified as 18-year-old Naqwan Antonio Lucas. D.C. police are asking for assistance in locating him.

On June 30, around 1:30 p.m., officers responded to the sound of gunshots in the 1200 block of 7th Street, Northwest. There, they found a man unconscious. Two others, including a woman and a 16-year-old boy, were found conscious and breathing.

All three had been shot.

On Tuesday, July 1, the man died at the hospital. He was identified as 21-year-old Eric Tarpinian-Jachym, of Granby, Massachusetts.
