Louisiana National Guard troops help with security patrols in Washington, D.C.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Members of the Louisiana National Guard are currently deployed in Washington, D.C., where they’re assisting with security patrols around national parks and monuments as part of a joint task force operation.

The soldiers from the 256th Infantry Brigade Combat Team are partnering with federal and local law enforcement agencies to help maintain safety and deter crime in the nation’s capital.
