WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — Officers with the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) are investigating allegations of corporal punishment and sexual misconduct at an elementary school in Southeast DC.
Police reports obtained by DC News Now confirm active investigations into two alleged incidents at Boone Elementary School on Minnesota Avenue SE in recent weeks.
A police report filed back on Sept. 30 details what allegedly happened in the school’s library that day. Officers wrote of a student’s report of corporal punishment, saying, “that while in class he was at the bookshelf and took a book when [the subject] walked over, took the book out of his hand,” and told him he didn’t do it fast enough…
