Man shot and killed in North Bethesda parking lot in targeted overnight attack
NORTH BETHESDA, MD — A man was shot and killed overnight in a North Bethesda parking lot in what Montgomery County Police are calling a targeted homicide. Investigators are now searching for the suspect and offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to an arrest.
Officers from the 2nd District responded to the 11700 block of Rockville Pike just before 1:00 a.m. Friday after reports of a shooting in the parking lot of a commercial area. When they arrived, they found an adult male suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Detectives from the department’s Major Crimes Division – Homicide Section have taken over the investigation. Based on preliminary evidence, police believe the victim was targeted, though no suspect description has been released…
