23-Year-Old Arrested in Southeast D.C. Robbery Investigation

Washington, D.C. – Police have arrested a 23-year-old man in connection with a robbery in Southeast Washington, D.C., after a victim was reportedly threatened and robbed near 8th Street and Heights Alley, SE, on Friday morning, according to the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD).

Details of the Robbery Incident

Authorities said the incident occurred around 11:44 a.m. when several suspects approached the victim and demanded money while making verbal threats. After the victim handed over the cash, the group fled the scene, prompting an immediate police response.

Nearby officers were able to apprehend one of the suspects shortly after the robbery, while others managed to escape.

Suspect Identified and Charged

The arrested suspect was identified as Davon Lindsey, a 23-year-old resident of Southeast D.C. Police confirmed that Lindsey has been charged with robbery (fear), a serious felony under D.C. law.

Officials did not specify how much money was taken or whether any injuries were reported. The investigation remains open as authorities continue to search for the other suspects involved in the case.
