Hearing set to consider stopping W.Va. National Guard deployment in D.C.

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WCHS) — A hearing has been scheduled for Friday to consider a temporary restraining order that would stop the deployment of West Virginia National Guard members to the nation’s capital.

The WV Citizen Action Group, represented by ACLU-WV, is challenging hundreds of WVNG members to Washington D.C., arguing the deployment exceeds the governor’s authority and is violation of the law.
