D.C. Police Seek Public’s Help Locating Suspect Wanted in Two Local Homicides

The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) in Washington, D.C. is searching for 18-year-old Naqwan Antonio Lucas. He is wanted in connection with two homicide investigations from the summer of 2025. Police are asking anyone with information about Lucas’s location to contact them.

The first incident happened on June 30, 2025, at about 10:28 p.m. Officers responded to reports of gunshots in the 1200 block of 7th Street, Northwest. They found three people with gunshot wounds: an unconscious adult male, an adult female, and a 16-year-old male. All were taken to local hospitals. Eric Tarpinian-Jachym, 21, of Granby, Massachusetts, later died from his injuries.

Police arrested two other suspects, both 17 years old. Kelvin Thomas of Southeast, D.C., and Jailen Lucas of Northwest, D.C., were charged as adults with First Degree Murder while Armed. Naqwan Lucas was identified as a third suspect and is wanted on a DC Superior Court arrest warrant for the same charge…
