WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — Two 19-year-olds are facing a slew of charges after a shooting near Howard University during the school’s homecoming weekend left five people injured Friday night.
Officers arrested Naseem Parker, of Northeast, and Jahlil Abdul Sabur, of Southeast, at the scene of the shooting in the 600 block of Howard Place after responding to sounds of gunfire in the area shortly before 8:30 p.m.
A woman, a 13-year-old boy, and three men sustained non-life-threatening injuries in the shooting, police said. According to a police report obtained by DC News Now, Parker was one of the men injured by the gunfire.
