Maryland mother faces life in prison for shooting 13-year-old daughter during argument

PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, Md. (7News) — A Maryland mother is facing life in prison after she was convicted in court Friday of shooting and severely hurting her teenage daughter at their Seat Pleasant home last year.

According to the Prince George’s County Office of the State’s Attorney, Talecka Brown, 33, was found guilty by a jury of attempted first-degree murder, first-degree child abuse, first-degree assault, and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony in the Sept. 23, 2024, shooting of her then 13-year-old daughter.
