The George Washington Health – Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center opened in April. It was a nearly half-billion-dollar project covered mostly by taxpayer dollars. The district and hospital are promoting it as a top-of-the-line, full-service hospital ready to serve this underserved community.
A report you’ll see only on 7News: our Washington, D.C., reporter, Phylicia Ashley, looked for answers about whether the brand-new Cedar Hill Hospital was actually ready to start accepting patients, or if opening the doors too soon might have done more harm than good. Since it opened, 7News received non-stop calls and reports about issues with services at the hospital from patients.
