Following an extensive police investigation, the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) has apprehended 18-year-old Naqwan Antonio Lucas, a suspect linked to two individual homicide cases in the District. On the night of June 30, after officers responded to a report of gunshots in Northwest D.C., one adult male was found unconscious, while another male, aged 16, and a female suffered gunshot wounds but were conscious. According to the MPD release, 21-year-old Eric Tarpinian-Jachym later died from his injuries.
Earlier, Kelvin Thomas and Jailen Lucas, both 17, had been arrested in connection with the same incident. MPD’s Homicide Branch later identified Naqwan Antonio Lucas as the third suspect.
