Uber driver pepper-sprayed by two teens during DC carjacking, police say

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — Police in the District are investigating after an Uber driver was allegedly pepper-sprayed and carjacked by two teenage girls.

The investigation is ongoing; however, the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) told DC News Now that the incident happened shortly after 4 a.m. in the 1800 block of Bruce Place S.E.

There, officers learned that the rideshare driver had picked up the two girls from an apartment complex near Alabama Avenue SE, according to a police report. The driver brought the suspects to a gas station on Naylor Road SE where the girls made a purchase…
