17-year-old linked to at least 5 armed carjackings in DC, police say

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — A 17-year-old boy was charged as an adult after he was linked to at least five armed carjackings and a robbery in the District that occurred during the summer, police noted.

The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said the boy was arrested on Nov. 12 in connection with the case.

Their investigation revealed that 17-year-old Andre Whitfield, of Southeast, was allegedly tied to six carjackings and one armed robbery in Washington, D.C.
