Morning Crash in Suitland Leaves One Man Dead; Police Investigating Cause

Suitland, Maryland — A tragic two-vehicle crash in Prince George’s County early Friday morning left one man dead and another injured, prompting an ongoing investigation by local authorities. The collision, which unfolded along one of Suitland’s busier roadways, has once again raised concerns about traffic safety in the area.

Deadly Morning Crash Shuts Down Major Suitland Intersection

The Prince George’s County Police Department (PGPD) reported that officers were dispatched shortly after 9:00 a.m. to the intersection of Silver Hill Road and Old Silver Hill Road, where they discovered two heavily damaged vehicles involved in what authorities described as a severe impact crash.

First responders attempted to aid the drivers of both vehicles. However, the driver of one car — identified only as an adult male — was tragically pronounced dead at the scene. Police have not yet released his name, pending notification of family members.

The second driver, also an adult male, sustained injuries described as non-life-threatening, according to WJLA. He was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Authorities have not provided further updates on his condition but confirmed he is expected to recover.
