WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — Three men will spend the rest of their lives behind bars after shooting into a gathering on Labor Day Weekend in 2021, killing three people and wounding three more.
Additionally, three more were sentenced for their roles in helping the suspects get away and destroying evidence.

According to evidence presented during the trial, around 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 4, 2021, Damonta Thompson served as the getaway driver while using a rental car under someone else’s name. Thompson was helping three men in what was believed to have been a retaliation shooting, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office (USAO), District of Columbia.
The men, identified as Erwin Dubose, Kamar Queen and William Johnson Lee, were dropped off in the 600 block of Longfellow St., NW. The three traveled to the corner of Longfellow and 7th streets, NW, and began shooting randomly into a neighborhood gathering…
