WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — A D.C. judge handed down a 28-year sentence after a man fired several rounds into his ex-girlfriend’s home, killing an innocent bystander who was asleep in his apartment.
On Sept. 11, Plamer was convicted of the murder of Barron Goodwin, possession of a firearm during a crime of violence, felony destruction of property and tampering with evidence.

Government evidence revealed that on Feb. 11, 2020, Palmer got into an argument with his ex-girlfriend and stole her cell phone. After exchanging calls with the ex-girlfriend’s brother, Palmer drove to her family’s home on Feb. 12 in a stolen car.
