Judge hands down life sentence for Silver Spring parking garage shooting

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) — A 33-year-old man was sentenced to life without parole for shooting and killing a man and shooting at two women in a Silver Spring parking garage.

The Montgomery County State’s Attorney’s Office (SAO) said in a news release Monday that a judge sentenced Ramone Ramsay to life in prison with an additional consecutive life sentence and 20 years in prison.

A jury convicted Ramsay in January of one count of first-degree murder and two counts of attempted first-degree murder. He was also convicted of three counts of use of a handgun in commission of a felony and one count of illegal possession of a firearm.

The SAO said that Ramsay shot and killed 21-year-old Kymani Bailey and shot at two “innocent women.”…
