USAO: Two kidnapped in DC, bound with duct tape in bathroom; 3 charged

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — Three people are facing charges after they were accused of being involved in a kidnapping in Southeast D.C., where two victims were stabbed and bound with duct tape, detailed officials.

The United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia (USAO) announced Tuesday that Robynn Danielle Bynum, 18, of Fort Washington, Md.; Cierra Charity Lee, 20, of D.C.; and Kayvon Edwards, 21, of D.C., were all charged in a complaint in connection with the case.

The complaint charged the trio with federal counts of conspiracy to commit kidnapping and kidnapping; they were also charged in three District Code counts of kidnapping while armed, assault with a dangerous weapon and armed robbery.

According to the USAO, on Oct. 20, a United States Park Police officer responded to the 3200 block of Minnesota Avenue, SE., for the report of a kidnapping.
