Metrobus strikes, kills pedestrian in Northeast DC: police

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — Police are investigating after a crash involving a Metrobus left a pedestrian dead in Washington, D.C., early Wednesday morning.

The Metropolitan Police Department said officers responded to a crash involving a pedestrian just minutes after 5 a.m. in the 4200 block of Minnesota Avenue, Northeast. At the scene, police reported finding a man, unconscious and not breathing, who had been hit by a Metrobus.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.
