DC man gets 188-month sentence in kidnapping, carjacking and assaults

WASHINGTON (7News) — A District man has been sentenced to more than 15 years in federal prison for his role in a violent kidnapping, carjacking and a series of gunpoint assaults that began in Northeast D.C. and ended with a deadly shooting in Maryland, according to the Distrcit U.S. Attorney’s Office.

Prosecutors said Marquette Jackson, 25, also known as “Glocky” and “Twin,” received a 188-month prison sentence Monday in U.S. District Court. He previously pleaded guilty on May 21 to kidnapping and aiding and abetting. Jackson will also serve five years of supervised release.

According to court documents, the incident began in the early morning hours of June 8, 2023, after Jackson and several others returned to the 4400 block of F Street SE from a birthday celebration at a nightclub. Authoritiues said around 3 a.m., two victims arrived and got into a Mercedes SUV belonging to one of them.
