WALDORF, Md. — A Brandywine man is facing felony drug distribution charges after deputies say he tried to toss away a container of suspected cocaine while officers confronted him behind a Waldorf motel, according to charging documents.
Calvin Chris Cherry, 43, is charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance other than cannabis and possession with intent to distribute a narcotic after a Nov. 19, 2025, incident at the Super 8 motel on Crain Highway.
The Super 8 manager stated to the officers that Cherry had been kicked out of the motel last month but had returned and that staff wanted him barred from the property.
