A woman was reportedly attacked while running along the NW Branch Trail, a popular route that follows the Northwest Branch of the Anacostia River. The incident, which occurred approximately four weeks ago, involved an unidentified young man who assaulted the woman with a bottle, causing injuries to her head. The attacker, described as a slim, young Hispanic male, approximately 20 years old, wearing jeans, a hoodie, a beanie, and glasses, fled the scene when the woman screamed for help. The police have taken down a sketch of the assailant but have yet to find any leads.
