Man shot in June dies months later as Silver Spring case ruled homicide
SILVER SPRING, MD — A man shot in a residential neighborhood earlier this year has died from his injuries, and the case has now been ruled a homicide, according to an update released Wednesday by Montgomery County Police.
Derrick Jones, 40, was shot on June 19 at approximately 1:11 p.m. in the 30 block of Hunters Gate Court. When officers arrived, they found Jones suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
