Bitter cold temperatures prompt school delays across DMV

WASHINGOTN (DC News Now) — After snowfall over the weekend and temperatures dropping below freezing, school districts across D.C., Maryland and Virginia announced delays for Monday, Dec. 15.

On Saturday night, one to three inches of snow fell across the region. Following the snowfall, a bitter cold pushed across the DMV, dropping temperatures below freezing and leaving roads icy.

On Monday morning, the arctic blast continued as temperatures settled in the teens, with cold chills reaching zero degrees.
