Father and son tax preparers in DC indicted on 24 counts of defrauding the IRS

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — A father and son who ran a tax return preparation business in Southeast D.C. were indicted on 24 counts of defrauding the IRS, the U.S. Attorney’s Office (USAO) for the District of Columbia announced Thursday,

Vincent Larry Phillips, Sr., 60, and Vincent Michael Phillips, Jr., 36, were charged with one count of conspiracy, 14 counts of aiding in the preparation of false returns, four counts of false statements, and four counts of aggravated identity theft.
