TAKOMA PARK, Md. — Two people are recovering in the hospital after being stabbed on the first hours of the new year. Montgomery County Police officers were called to the 900 block of Browning Avenue, near the Browning Apartments in Takoma Park around 6:30 a.m. for a reported stabbing.
When officers arrived, they found a man and a woman had been stabbed. Both people were taken to the hospital for treatment. The severity of their injuries and their current condition is not known at this time.
Police said on X, formerly Twitter, that a suspect was in custody for the stabbing. However, investigators are still working to determine the circumstances leading up to the stabbing.
