Firefighters rescue trapped driver from burning vehicle in Northeast DC crash

WASHINGTON (7News) — A driver and a bystander were taken to the hospital after a car crash in Northeast, D.C.

The incident was reported at 10:34 a.m., with firefighters arriving at Kenilworth and Burroughs Ave NE to find a vehicle engulfed in flames and a person trapped inside.

Firefighters were able to put out the fire and remove the trapped driver, who was the only person in the car. The driver was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries…
