DC sergeant accused of pulling gun, crowbar during road rage incident on Route 50 in Maryland

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (DC News Now) — A D.C. police sergeant was arrested in connection with a road rage incident on U.S. Route 50 involving a gun, according to Maryland State Police (MSP).

Sgt. Kaila Crews, 29, was arrested and charged with first- and second-degree assault and use of a firearm in a felony crime.

On Dec. 18, troopers with the Maryland State Police responded to the westbound Route 50, near Interstate 97, for reports of a road rage incident in Anne Arundel County. The victim told troopers that a person pulled out a crowbar, followed by a gun, as a result of road rage. No injuries were reported.
